About CES Leadership Work Committees Technical Committees Provincial and Municipal Societies

CES has established a more comprehensive organizational system based on industrial development and discipline construction under the leadership of previous councils. The development of its organization, construction of systems, and work processes are now standardized. With an increasingly improved service consciousness and a strong democratic atmosphere, CES has seen a significant increase in cohesiveness. Numerous electrical scientists and technology professionals have become CES members. The contributions of CES have also been recognized and praised by both the public and the industry.

We have established international partnerships with relevant associations such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Electric Vehicle Association of Asia Pacific (EVAAP), Korean Electrical Manufacturers' Cooperative (KEMC), Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE), Institute Of Energy Economics Japan (IEEJ), Short-circuit Testing Liasion (STL), etc.

With the core being CES-hosted authoritative journals, including "Electrical Engineering", "Transaction of China Electrotechnical Society" and "CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems", CES devotes itself to building an academic communication platform in the field of electrical engineering and providing services on valuable academic and technical information for domestic and foreign scientists and technicians.

International Exhibitions
CES has been granted the necessary qualifications by the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology to host international economic and technical exhibitions. With these qualifications, CES has successfully hosted a variety of exhibitions, including International Electric Vehicle Symposium Exhibition, International Exhibition on Electrical Equipment, International Exhibition on Power Electronics, Electrical Drive and Industry Automation, International Exhibition on EMC and World Battery, and Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Exhibitions. These exhibitions have played a vital role in promoting industry, academia, research and application collaboration.

China Electrotechnical Society (CES) and Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Signed a Memoranda of Understanding

On October 18, 2022, the China Electrotechnical Society (CES) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) signed a Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) at the CES Beijing headquarters. The purpose of the memorandum is to strengthen cooperation between both sides in academic exchanges, engineering education certification, mutual recognition of members, journal publication, technology awards, and many others. Secretary General of the CES Yi Han signed the MOU with Mr. Paulo Lopes, the China Country Head and Director of the IET. Mr. Yanan Dou, Director of the CES International Cooperation Department, Ms. Zhenzhen Li, Manager of the IET Business Development, and relevant personnel from CES attended the signing ceremony.

Mr. Lopes and Mr. Han both expressed their delight at the success of signing the MOU, and hoped for better established and solidified cooperation relations between CES and IET.

Under the MOU, both sides plan to conduct in-depth cooperation in areas, including foreign member recruitment, international engineering certification, academic exchanges, S&T journal publication and personnel training.

IET is a world-leading professional organization with 158,000 plus members in 153 countries, working to engineer a better world by inspiring, informing and influencing the global engineering community. IET Beijing office established in 2005 is a wholly owned subsidiary of IET UK and is authorized to engage in IET activities in China.
